As a senior executive, Galo successfully guided five systems from concept development through production and commercialization, including co-founding 2 startups that successfully went IPO.

Prior to joining IGP, Galo co-founded AgCert International and led the engineering effort in developing new methodologies and implement projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions under the Kyoto Protocols. There are currently over 800 such projects in Mexico and Brazil that are continually reducing methane and nitrous oxide emissions. He established collaborations with the US Departments of Energy and Agriculture, AES Corporation, and academic networks such as CASMGS in the US, and the RAMIRAN in the European Union. At Gen-Probe, Galo increased the company’s market share by 70% generating $500 million in revenues annually by executing corporate wide transformational change resulting in high revenue growth. He automated a biomedical process triggering a change in industry practices, leading to a jump in the company’s market share.

Galo has also built from ground up several instrument quality programs leading to FDA, CE, ISO and other global regulatory certifications.

Galo received a BS in Biology from St. John’s University, and an MS in Forensic Chemistry from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the College of the City University of New York. He also holds four patents and has received numerous awards for his work.
